Brevard Sheriff's Economic Crimes Task Force Recovers $1.7 Million in Real Estate Fraud Case
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Task Force successfully recovered more than $1.7 million after a real estate fraud case.
The incident began on July 8, with a report of a Business Email Compromise involving a property transaction totaling $1,725,014.85.
“These scammers stop at nothing to take hard-earned money from our citizens, but thankfully, we have an amazing Economic Crimes Task Force that works harder than the bad guys,”said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
The recovery of $1.7 million is a significant success for the Economic Crimes Task Force in protecting Space Coast residents from real estate fraud.
