A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 8 PM Friday from the Oregon Inlet southward through eastern Carteret county, with water levels 1-2 feet above normal at times.
Gusty north winds will keep highs in the mid 60s on Thursday and Friday, despite sunny skies. Overnight temperatures will be chilly, with widespread 40s on both Thursday and Friday nights.
As the weekend approaches, temperatures will warm up to the 70s with southwest winds moving in ahead of an approaching cold front, which will bring a few showers on Sunday night.
