Illawarra Hawks head coach Justin Tatum responded to reports about departed import JaQuori McLaughlin, stating that the claims were 'false'.
The report was false, and that young man was nothing but a pleasure for our organisation and in our locker room, on and off the court.
Tatum clarified that the Hawks and McLaughlin mutually agreed to part ways on Friday, prior to the team's 116-89 win against the Brisbane Bullets at WIN Entertainment Centre.
A previous report by Code Sports had suggested that McLaughlin's departure was due to him being a 'cancer' in the locker room, which Tatum denied.
