Virginia Tech Foundation Considers Selling Hotel Roanoke
The Virginia Tech Foundation is exploring the sale of the historic Hotel Roanoke after more than 30 years of ownership.
A university spokesperson, Mark Owczarski, stated that the foundation has approached the city with the idea to consider and explore the sale of the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center.
“What has happened so far is very, very preliminary,”
“Given the hotel’s current strength and success, along with operating and franchise agreements nearing renewal, the timing for this exploration is optimal.”
The hotel's conference center is a joint venture with the city.
