Canadian Passport Ranks Higher than U.S. in Visa-Free Access
The Henley Passport Index has ranked Canada in 9th place for its citizens' ability to visit countries without needing a visa, surpassing the U.S.
According to Henley and Partners, the shift is partly due to countries imposing reciprocal policies in response to new U.S. visa restrictions or entry requirements.
- Canadians can access Belarus, Papua New Guinea, and Uzbekistan without a visa.
- They can also skip the visa requirement upon arriving in Bolivia and Rwanda.
Canadian passport holders have overtaken Americans in terms of visa-free access to the world.
