A public meeting will be held on November 19 to update residents on the cleanup of polyfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) from the Jack Garland Airport.
The meeting, co-hosted by the Department of National Defence and the City of North Bay, will take place at the Best Western from 3 to 8 p.m.
Residents will have the opportunity to hear the latest project information and updates on the joint efforts to address PFAS, as well as interact with subject matter experts and project teams to address questions and concerns.
The $20-million cleanup project aims to address the PFAS originating from the Jack Garland Airport and Canadian Forces Base North Bay.
Subject matter experts will present updates on ongoing studies and remediation efforts.
