New Brit Sitcom to Start Shooting in Marbella
A new UK series, Ketchup, is set to explore the cultural clashes, expat misadventures, and illusions of life abroad, billed as a cross between Benidorm, Cheers, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
The show will resonate with expats who arrive in Spain with dreams of sunshine and sangria, only to find things rather different. Starring and directed by Kevin McNally, known for roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, Life on Mars, and The Crown, filming began this autumn.
McNally is joined by Sandra Dickinson, who played Trillian in the 1981 BBC series The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
