Josh Elander Named Tennessee Baseball Head Coach

Tennessee baseball has found its new leader in Josh Elander, the team's associate head coach and recruiting coordinator.

Elander, who has been with the team for eight seasons, took the job after former head coach Tony Vitello left to become the manager of the San Francisco Giants.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity here on Rocky Top," Elander said. "I'm really happy for our players to continue building on what we've already built here. The hunt continues, and we're still excited. Love this place and these people. So thankful for the best that's yet to come."

Elander has been coaching since 2016, starting as a student assistant at TCU, then moving to a volunteer position at Arkansas before joining Tennessee.

Author's summary: Josh Elander is Tennessee's new baseball head coach.
