Active Shoot-out in Monroe County
An active police presence is currently on scene of a house in Northeast Missouri.

Update on the Situation
Monroe County, Missouri — UPDATE (Oct. 12, 7:15 p.m.): The Missouri State Highway Patrol says SWAT officers entered the residence around 4:50 p.m. and advised that the main suspect was dead.
The department identifies the suspect as 57-year-old Charles Armour, of Paris, Mo.
- Highway Patrol had been assisting the Ralls County Sheriff's Office with finding a person of interest in a homicide investigation earlier in the day.
- Officers say Armour fired at them when they entered the residence that afternoon, shooting a Randolph County deputy.
- The deputy was taken to a hospital for emergency medical treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
