Jessica Simpson surprised fans with a drastically altered appearance in the new Hulu series All’s Fair. For her first acting role in over ten years, she wore facial prosthetics to portray Lee-Ann, a character whose plastic surgeries had severe complications.
In the show, Lee-Ann undergoes numerous surgeries that go wrong, leading her to seek legal assistance from Kim Kardashian’s Allura Grant. Jessica explained the process was intense, saying she endured eight hours of prosthetic application for the role.
“Filming All’s Fair was incredible. I had a blast. I did eight hours of prosthetics, so it was very intense,” Simpson shared with Entertainment Tonight.
Flashback scenes reveal Lee-Ann falling for a rock star, with their relationship leading to a pivotal moment where she is advised to have surgery after turning 40. The surgeries fail, but her character eventually wins a significant legal battle thanks to her legal team.
Jessica emphasized the challenge of embodying someone very different from herself, highlighting the difficulty and excitement of her return to acting.
“I really embody someone that I am not, so I was definitely acting,” she said.
