U of T to Commemorate Remembrance Day on November 11

The University of Toronto community will gather on November 11 to mark Remembrance Day, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Ceremonies will be held across its three campuses to honor all soldiers and veterans who served in the First and Second World Wars and other conflicts. All members of the U of T community are invited to attend.

Flags across the St. George, Scarborough, and Mississauga campuses will be lowered to half-mast to remember those who served, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

St. George Campus Ceremony

The Service of Remembrance will take place at Soldiers’ Tower on the St. George campus. The event will start with a carillon recital by composer and performer Naoko Tsujita at 10:10 a.m., followed by the formal ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
