On Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory in effect until Friday at 10 a.m. for Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County, Josephine County, and Jackson County.
The weather service warns of visibility dropping to one quarter mile or less in dense fog, which could make driving hazardous.
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," comments the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
A dense fog advisory indicates widespread dense fog with visibility often reduced to a quarter-mile or less, making travel difficult and risky.
When possible, delay travel until conditions improve for safer driving.
Summary: Dense fog significantly reduces visibility in parts of Southern Oregon, requiring cautious driving and adherence to safety measures to prevent accidents.
