PlayStation Portal users with PlayStation Plus Premium can now stream select PS5 games directly on the device. Since its launch in November 2023, the PlayStation Portal has improved through updates like better public Wi-Fi support and user experience enhancements.
Last year, the Cloud Streaming beta enabled PlayStation Plus Premium members to play select PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog via Cloud Streaming, without needing a PS5 console connection through Remote Play.
Starting November 5, 6pm PT / November 6, 2am GMT, Cloud Streaming for PS5 games officially became available on PS Portal for PlayStation Plus Premium users. This update introduces streaming support for thousands of digital PS5 games from players’ personal libraries.
PlayStation officials said: "We’re always working to push the boundaries of how players experience games."
This milestone significantly expands how players can enjoy PS5 titles remotely, making the PlayStation Portal an even more versatile gaming device.
Summary: The PlayStation Portal now supports Cloud Streaming for thousands of digital PS5 games in subscribers’ libraries, enhancing remote play for PlayStation Plus Premium members.
