Head-on Collision in Norway Claims Five Lives
A small town in Northern Norway is in mourning after a head-on collision south of Tromsø resulted in the deaths of five people over the weekend.
According to police, the accident occurred just before midnight on Saturday on the two-lane E8 highway at Hundbergan. The collision involved two cars, one heading south with three 18-year-olds from Ramfjord, and another heading north with a man in his 60s and two women in their 50s from Kaldfjord.
The three young men and the man and one of the women from the other car were killed in the accident. The other woman survived with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
