Swiss Trade Union Opposes Sunday Retail Openings
At its congress in Brig, Valais, the Swiss trade union Unia warned against expanding Sunday retail openings.
Unia denounced plans to expand Sunday openings, citing that sales workers already face irregular hours, low pay, and high stress.

The delegates called on parliament to maintain Sunday as a day of rest and promised to oppose any deterioration of protective provisions, even by launching a referendum if necessary.
