iOS 26.1 Update: New Features and Release Date
The upcoming iOS 26.1 update includes new features and changes for iPhones, such as a toggle for changing the appearance of the Liquid Glass design, "slide to stop" for alarms in the Clock app, and more.

Release Date
Given that Apple has yet to seed an iOS 26.1 Release Candidate, the update is no longer expected to be released in October. Instead, it will likely be released in early November, possibly on Monday, November 3 or Tuesday, November 4.
iOS 26.1 lets you choose your preferred look for Liquid Glass.
In the Settings app, under Display and Brightness → Liquid Glass, there are two options: a more transparent "Clear" option and a more opaque "Tinted" option.
