A state representative, Marcus Wiedower, is resigning from the General Assembly due to his company's rapid growth.
Wiedower, a representative from Watkinsville, announced his resignation on Tuesday, citing increased travel requirements that would take him away from the Capitol during the legislative session.
While I’m stepping away from elected office, I look forward to remaining actively involved in our community and continuing to help tackle Georgia’s most pressing challenges, especially attainable housing through my work at Hillpointe.
His resignation brings the total number of vacancies in the House and Senate to four.
