The Sixers' Undefeated Start Almost Came to an End
The Sixers appeared to finally run out of energy, but Adem Bona helped turn the game around.
With the Wizards, led by Alex Sarr and Kyshawn George, shooting near 60% from the field, the Sixers were in trouble. Joel Embiid led the team with 25 points, but had reached his minutes restriction and was done for the night with seven minutes left and the Sixers trailing by nine.
It looked like the Sixers’ would lose their first game of the season, but Adem Bona refused to let that happen.
The team seemed exhausted, playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but Bona's efforts helped prevent their first loss.
