Former Karabakh Army Chief Moved to House Arrest

A former commander of Nagorno-Karabakh’s army, Lieutenant-General Mikael Arzumanyan, has been moved to house arrest after being held in an Armenian prison for more than three years.

He was arrested in August 2022 on charges stemming from the 2020 war with Azerbaijan, including the capture of the Karabakh town of Shushi in November 2020.
