Save Taylor's Buttons & Belts

Taylor's Buttons & Belts will close forever in November unless Maureen Rose can raise enough to pay off her rent arrears from the Covid lockdowns.

Please support Maureen's crowdfund 'Every button tells a story'.

Nestled on the ground floor of the house where Charles Dickens grew up at 22 Cleveland St in Fitzrovia is a unique button shop.

Boxes of buttons line the walls from floor to ceiling, some over a hundred years old, with Maureen Rose at the centre.

"A very nice gentleman – well turned out – stood in my doorway and asked, 'Charles Dickens doesn’t live here anymore, does he?'"

Maureen recalled with a sly grin, "I said, 'No, he doesn’t."

Author's summary: Save Taylor's Buttons & Belts from closure.
