Top 20 Cars in September 2025
According to the road transport department's (JPJ) data, the monthly top 20 car models have seen some surprises. The usual Bezza-Axia-Myvi (BAM) 1-2-3 ranking has been disrupted, with the Proton Saga jumping to second place.
The Saga sold 5,717 units in September, a normal performance for the model, but its ranking improved due to a month-on-month drop in sales for Perodua's models. The Bezza, Axia, and Myvi sold 6,733, 5,689, and 4,521 units respectively in September, down from August's 9,533, 7,525, and 6,514 units.
The Proton Saga was Malaysia's second best-selling car, despite the current model serving notice.
The new ranking has resulted in a change from BAM to BSAM (Bezza-Saga-Myvi) for September.
