Vienna's Hotel Savoyen will be rebranded as Sheraton Vienna in early 2027. Operated by MHP Hotel AG through a franchise agreement with Marriott International, this change is part of the company’s growth plan across Austria.
The hotel is situated in Vienna’s diplomatic quarter, housed in the historic former Imperial Printing House. Before reopening, it will undergo extensive renovations to meet Sheraton standards.
The hotel will continue to prioritize spacious and functional hospitality for its guests.
The transition builds on a longstanding partnership between MHP Hotel AG and the property owner, Mechelgasse 1 GmbH. The franchise deal with Marriott International will connect the hotel to a global premium brand.
“We see great potential to further strengthen the market position of Hotel Savoyen through its repositioning as Sheraton Vienna. Vienna continues to benefit from strong international demand and dynamic tourism growth. We are grateful to Midstad for their trust and look forward to a successful collaboration.”
Alongside this rebranding, Marriott is expanding its footprint in the DACH region with two new Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels set to open in Östringen and Koblenz.
The Savoyen Hotel’s transformation into Sheraton Vienna reflects Marriott’s strategic regional growth and the city’s rising appeal to international tourists.
