An Indigenous senator has intensified her criticism of King Charles III, accusing the British monarch of complicity in the “genocide” against Australia’s First Peoples.
Australian Senator Lidia Thorpe disrupted proceedings at a parliamentary reception, shouting at the King about British colonizers taking Indigenous land and bones, before being escorted out.
She declared she will not be “shut down”
