Shanghai Electric to Build 342MW Solar PV Plant in Romania
Shanghai Electric has signed an EPC contract with independent power producer Econergy to build a 342MW solar PV plant in Romania.
The contract is for the second phase of the Parau project, reuniting both companies after their partnership on the first phase of the solar PV project.
- Shanghai Electric previously worked as the EPC contractor for the first phase of the Parau project (92MW), which was commissioned last year.
- Located in Parau, central Romania, the second phase is forecast to begin commercial operations in 2027.
- The project has secured a 15-year Contract for Difference for nearly half (45%) of the project’s capacity.
Econergy and Shanghai Electric partner again for the Parau project.
