UMass Lowell has held the inaugural STELAR Conference, bringing together faculty, staff, and graduate students to share innovative approaches to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The conference, held at the Saab Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center (ETIC), featured hands-on learning and collaboration, with over 75 representatives from various colleges, including the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences, Kennedy College of Sciences, Francis College of Engineering, and the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
One of the workshops, "Colored Hat Thinking", was attended by Mechanical Engineering Professor Juan Pablo Trelles and Baseball Research Center Assistant Director Patrick Drane, who wore witches hats as part of the exercise.
