Massa on 'Crashgate' Scandal
Felipe Massa has stated that both Flavio Briatore and Nelson Piquet Jr denied trying to influence the 2008 Singapore GP when he questioned them.
Massa claims he approached both Piquet and Briatore about the incident, but both denied any wrongdoing.
Massa said: 'Briatore lied to me – and Todt was sure crash was deliberate'
Additionally, Massa says his former Ferrari boss Jean Todt was certain that Piquet Jr’s crash was deliberate, but neither he nor the team chose to do anything about it.
A hearing has begun at London’s High Court regarding Massa’s case against the FIA, Formula One Management, and its then-head Bernie Ecclestone.
- Massa is seeking to be recognised as the rightful 2008 champion.
- He is also claiming £64m in damages.
