As Six Flags’ Maryland location closes shop, longtime visitors say goodbye

Six Flags America Closes its Doors

Longtime visitors bid farewell to Six Flags America in Maryland as the park closed its doors permanently.

The park's parent company, which manages over 40 amusement parks in North America, announced the closure in May.

"We will feel its loss," said Lise Bruneau, a Washington, D.C. resident. "I feel it already."

For Bruneau, the park held more than just thrilling rides and games - it was a place of cherished memories, where her son learned to swim and her childhood love for amusement parks was rekindled.

Author's summary: Six Flags America closes permanently.
