Axar Patel delivered a crucial breakthrough for India during the fourth T20I against Australia in Queensland on Thursday, November 6, 2025. The left-arm spinner dismissed Josh Inglis for 12 runs off 11 balls, giving India their second wicket with Australia at 67 runs in the ninth over.
The dismissal came when Axar bowled a quicker delivery on the stumps. Inglis advanced down the pitch, attempting to hit through the line, but the ball slipped past his inside edge and hit the stumps. The right-hander had tried to release pressure after a string of dot balls over the previous three overs.
“The ball sneaked past the inside edge to crash into the stumps.”
Inglis has struggled throughout the T20I series, recording scores of 20, 1, and 12. It marked his second dismissal to spin, having previously fallen lbw to Kuldeep Yadav in the second match.
India ended their innings at 167 for 8, setting a competitive total for Australia to chase under lights in Queensland.
Axar Patel’s timely wicket of Josh Inglis and Shubman Gill’s composed 46 anchored India’s performance in the 4th T20I, keeping the hosts under constant pressure.
