The draw for the ATP Finals has been completed, but uncertainties remain. Novak Djokovic, the No. 4 seed, has qualified but has not yet confirmed his participation. Currently competing at the ATP 250 event in Athens, Djokovic stated he would decide on his involvement after his run in Greece concludes.
Djokovic has been placed in the Jimmy Connors Group alongside top seed Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur. Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner lead the two groups at this year’s season-ending championships.
The eighth and last position in the tournament is still up for grabs. Felix Auger-Aliassime currently holds the eighth spot in the race, but Lorenzo Musetti can claim it by winning the Athens title.
“We are waiting on the identity of our eighth player. By way of explanation, we have Lorenzo Musetti, who will qualify if he wins the current event in Athens. Anything less and the position will go to Felix Auger-Aliassime,” said ATP Tour supervisor Gerry Armstrong.
The competition for the final spot adds to the excitement of the tournament, as players battle through important events leading up to the ATP Finals in Turin.
Djokovic’s participation in the ATP Finals remains uncertain as the last tournament spot hinges on the results of the Athens event, keeping fans on edge.
